Riding on a really encouraging and heart-warming wave of overwhelmingly positive press on his debut solo EP 'Thirteen,' former Yellowcard vocalist/guitarist William Ryan Key has been keeping himself really busy since its release earlier this Spring. Following a national tour supporting New Found Glory and a handful of dates on the final Vans Warped Tour, Ryan will be playing a handful of shows in the US with Moose Blood followed by his first ever solo shows in Australia. Following this, he will be embarking a national tour with friends Mayday Parade. But before he does that, he is releasing today the new video to the new single 'Old Friends' from his EP.
“I collected a ton of live footage on tour this year that I knew I wanted to use for a music video,” Ryan says. “I chose ‘Old Friends’ because I wanted to include the people that have been out there supporting my new music the most. I received over 800 submissions of photographs of fans and friends to use in the video. The end result feels nostalgic and peaceful just like the song itself.” Tender and intimate, the video features Ryan performing the track interspersed with photos of him with fans while on the road. Premiering on Altpress.com, the video can be see below. Ryan is currently working on the follow-up to 'Thirteen.'
