Following the incredible success of his 'Foreign Light' album, which has now surpassed 4 million streams, Toddla T has dropped the animation visual to his double A-sided new single - 'Foreign Light' and 'Ungrateful.'
'Foreign Light' the single, is influenced by multiple genres, and showcases not only Toddla’s versatility as both a producer and songwriter, but his maturity and progression. Speaking on the track, he states: “It’s a special song for me, the instrumental was crafted in my West London studio with Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys). We kept it steel with Coco, and Andrea Martin delivered the concept which became the title to my latest LP.”
'Ungrateful,' also featured on the album, is largely a gospel track, with a wider sound that illustrates just why Toddla T is one of our most prized UK producers. Originally sent as an acapella by Andrea Martin, Toddla enlisted the help of Mango Music choir, who, along with Benji B, ensured the musicality of the single was on point. The single has a new club edit, which was premiered exclusively by Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1.
